About Briana

Briana is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate with a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College. She is passionate about helping children and teens navigate life’s obstacles, find meaning in confusion, and rediscover authorship over their unique stories. Her approach to therapy is one rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a commitment to understanding and honoring her clients needs and goals.

Over the years, Briana has had the privilege of working in several diverse settings. From providing emotional support to children in a rapidly changing immigrant neighborhood, to empowering teens in group homes to set and achieve personally meaningful goals, Briana remains committed to connecting with clients wherever they are at in their journeys. Most recently, she worked alongside children and teens navigating grief after the loss of a parent or sibling, solidifying for her the importance of being with her clients in the chaos of unanswerable questions and complex emotions.

Her experiences have shaped her belief that everyone deserves a supportive space to both understand and safely feel their emotions, find healing, and discover resilience. Guiding her therapeutic approach, Briana integrates several modalities such as motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, play therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to guide clients in identifying their strengths and looking at life’s challenges through new perspectives aligned with their beliefs.

Briana lives in Durham, NC with her husband. In her spare time, she plays guitar, practices film photography, and goes thrift shopping.
