REDUCED FEE SERVICES

Potter Counseling provides supervised clinical work for students in master's level counseling programs. These students are required to complete an internship as a part of their clinical training. At Potter Counseling, Reduced Fee Services are available with our clinical interns. Interns are capable of providing counseling services for a variety of matters, including:

  • Behavioral Concerns/Parenting Support

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Grief & Loss

  • Stress Management

  • Couples Counseling

While interns have less clinical experience, they are devoted to understanding and helping you at an affordable rate at the height of their training.  Our interns are supervised by one of our licensed clinicians, as well as a supervisor from their Masters program. Interns review and consult with their fully licensed supervisors on all cases, which means that you experience the benefit of multiple clinicians’ time, expertise and knowledge thinking through how best to help you. Interns have smaller caseloads and are devoted to learning this profession on a full time basis, which often means they have more time to plan their sessions, develop client-specific activities, and coordinate care with other providers. A smaller caseload can also mean greater scheduling flexibility to you.

Moreover, it is a way to afford therapy when you might not have insurance coverage or the financial means to afford the private pay rate. At Potter Counseling, working with a clinical intern costs $60 a session for individuals. Clients have the right to transition services to a licensed mental health professional at any time; however, regular service fees will apply.
