Lori is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor who specializes in clinical supervision, infant mental health, attachment based interventions, improving parent child interactions and trauma treatment for children. She received her BA from the University of Virginia and her MA in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Psychology and Theology. Lori spent many years providing clinical supervision in the Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch Up model for young children through the Infant Caregiver Project at the University of Delaware. Prior to that, she worked at the Center for Child and Family Health in Durham, NC where she provided evidenced based treatment to many children and families who had experienced traumatic events.
Lori joined Potter Counseling in September of 2022. She lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband Erik, their three children, foster daughter, and their dog, Casey. She loves being outside, the first warm cup of coffee in the morning, and reading a good book at the beach.
